The Signal Begins: Welcome to PsiloKyrin
It's been nearly four and a half years since I wrote in my marketing journal: "put yourself out there" & "you get what you give." Those words launched my first serious journaling practice back in August 2020, sitting in Mr. C's Business-to-Business Marketing 101 class during my final undergrad semester.
I didn't know then that those words would guide me through 19 completed journals, an artistic rebirth, and eventually, the evolution from Tampa So Far to what you're reading now: PsiloKyrin
Who Am I?
I'm Kyrin (pronounced "kai•ren"), now in my final year of my twenties, a Business Management graduate from Appalachian State University who now calls Tampa Bay home. But those are just the surface details.
Beneath that, I'm someone who lost touch with my creative self as I entered adulthood, only to have it resurface with unexpected intensity a few years ago. I'm someone who's been documenting my internal and external journeys through art, writing, and music as I navigate the most challenging and transformative period of my life.
I'm someone who's been studying alchemy, not the literal transmutation of metals, but the spiritual practice of transforming negative energy into something powerful and positive.
Why PsiloKyrin?
If you've been following me as Tampa So Far, you've witnessed part of this journey. That brand was born from my experience of moving to Florida full of hope, only to have life quickly unravel. The falling "R" in that logo reflected those moments of breaking apart, moments I now recognize were not only necessary, but essential for growth.
Tampa So Far was the prologue. PsiloKyrin is the story.
The name comes from “psilocybin”, the compound in certain mushrooms that helped crack open my perception and showed me parts of myself I'd never accessed before. These experiences fundamentally shifted how I see reality and my place in it.
This isn't just a rebrand. It's a remembering. A reclaiming of the parts of myself I kept hidden or hadn't fully expressed until now.

This Substack is where I'll share the world I've been building, a space where art, psychedelia, philosophy, self-improvement, and consciousness exploration intersect.
You'll find:

This won't be content for content's sake. Everything I share will come from direct experience, sometimes messy, often challenging, but always honest.
The Journey So Far
Since diving back into creation, I've witnessed my own evolution. My artwork has been featured in shows at Studio at 5663 in Pinellas Park, FL. My musical explorations on SoundCloud have become a vehicle for expressing emotions when words fail. My journaling practice has become the backbone of my personal development.
My shift to digital art in 2024 has accelerated my creative output, allowing me to translate inner visions into shareable experiences more fluidly than ever before. The pieces below represent snapshots of this evolution:
But the most significant development has been internal, a gradual shift from feeling like a victim or bystander in my own life to becoming its author. This transformation is what PsiloKyrin represents.

Why A Substack?
In my first post as Tampa So Far, I broke down the four P's of marketing: Product, Place, Price, and Promotion. Those principles still apply, but they've deepened:
Product: Beyond just my art and writing, what I'm offering is a perspective, a way of seeing the world and yourself that creates more possibility, authenticity, and meaning.
Place: This virtual space allows us to connect regardless of physical location, creating a pocket dimension where we can explore consciousness together.
Price: This Substack will remain free as we build community. Eventually, there may be premium offerings for those wanting to go deeper, but the core insights will always be accessible.
Promotion: I've learned that consistency matters more than perfection. Unlike my previous approach of posting once and hoping for the best, I'm committed to showing up regularly with valuable content that builds genuine connection.
